Google is looking for ways to expand:
* The Internet giant is testing a new system for calls over the Internet integrated into Gmail.
* Offer the possibility to make calls directly to another customer, to a traditional phone or mobile.
* The call system will be integrated into Google the left side of Gmail
Google is preparing its entry into the world of communications by adding the ability to make calls from the Gmail . It appears that Google want to convert Gmail in the next Skype, For which it is testing a Web-based service that allows users to make telephone calls from their email accounts. Now user can make use of Gmail VoIP service for making voice calls through Internet protocol.
Specifically the service will be included in Google Chat Window located on the left side of the page and allow users to make and receive phone calls from their contacts through a user interface similar to one used in Google Voice.
Google takes time to explore such possibilities. Google Talk was launched years ago with the intention of becoming the most popular choice for instant messaging and VoIP calls over the desktop . Voice, among other things, allows calls from one number to multiple phones.
It is unclear whether the new Voip service will be part of Google Voice or offer completely different, because the user interface seems to be the same as of Google Voice. Among other things, users of the new service will not be required to have an account at Google Voice, and calls to U.S. and Canada will be free, with discounts on international calls.
Obviously, one of its most important objectives you will come across is Google wants to be the next Skype, but there are plenty of companies offering such VoIP based services.
why just not open Google voice service for all users outside US. i cant use gmail voice on my android phone
Now Google Voice is available for 150 popular destination of the world in 38 languages. Isn’t it great.
